On the afternoon of July 8, Chairman Wang Haimin of China Tourism Group (CTG) met with Deputy General Manager Lu Zhipeng of China Electronics Corporation (CEC) in Shenzhen. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the application of artificial intelligence in the tourism industry, the digital transformation of the tourism sector, and potential business collaborations.

Chairman Wang extended a warm welcome to Lu Zhipeng and his delegation, providing a brief overview of CTG's business development. He emphasized that as the only central enterprise with tourism as its primary business, CTG leverages its comprehensive tourism industry chain to implement President Xi Jinping's directive on "Integrity Operation and Quality Service". Chairman Wang hoped to actively collaborate with CEC in areas such as business travel, smart tourism, customized travel, and data assets. He highlighted the potential of AI to continuously enhance the tourism service experience, driving mutual benefits and win-win outcomes for both parties.
Deputy General Manager Lu offered a brief introduction to CEC's business layout, noting that as a central enterprise directly managed by the central government, CEC is committed to building core strategic technological capabilities for the national network and information security industry. Lu expressed willingness to offer technical support and data resources, starting with travel services and customized travel modules. He stressed the potential to expand cooperation between the two organizations and use digital technology to drive high-quality development in the cultural and tourism industry.
The meeting was attended by CTG Deputy General Manager Liu Kun, relevant leaders from Science and Technology Information Department, and key officials from CEC's Planning and Technology Department, Ecological Operations Department, and the Artificial Intelligence Institute under the Data Science and Intelligent Engineering Research Institute.
