September 21, 2023 - CTG Chairman Chen Yin participated in the "10th Global Tourism Economy Forum • Macau 2023", followed by visits to CTG Subsidiaries in Macau. In a keynote speech titled "Unlocking the Power of Tourism to Create a World-Class Bay Area", Mr. Chen highlighted the CTG's commitment, as a state-owned enterprise based in Hong Kong, to leverage its strategic location to deepen cooperation within the Greater Bay Area. Chairman Chen outlined the CTG's mission to focus on tourism as its core business, supporting the construction of a leisure bay area and advocating for "education through tourism", thus promoting a deep integration of culture and tourism. Moving forward, CTG aims to enrich tourism supply, serve people’s life, enhance cross-sector cooperation to build a sustainable tourism ecosystem, and deepen cultural-tourism integration to tell China’s story well, making due contribution for the building of world-class bay area.

Amid his visit, Chairman Chen led an inspection tour of CITS Macao and the CDF Macau Grand Lisboa Palace Shop. After hearing reports on the work of CITS Macao, Chairman Chen acknowledged the achievements made since the pandemic and encouraged the staff to remain confident and operate prudently as the market shows signs of improvement. He laid out three expectations for CITS Macao's future operation: enhance internal synergy and communication within group, capitalize on Macau's tourism resources to launch and diversify innovative tailor-made products, and propose suggestions to Macau educational sector to actively participate in the study of Macau's educational travel standards.


During his visit to the CDF Macau Grand Lisboa Palace Shop, Chairman Chen took an in-depth look at the store's operations, management, and employee welfare, expressing satisfaction with the current progress. He stressed the need to optimize store layouts to uphold CDF's image in Macau, actively understand and respond to local policies to stay ahead in the market, and maintain mutually beneficial cooperation with the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of internal cooperation within CTG's businesses in Macau, exploring opportunities for synergy with CTG enterprises in Hong Kong and the mainland, and fully engaging in community and social activities to expand influence. Senior executives from CTG's Strategic Development Department, CTG TRAVEL, and CTG DUTY-FREE were present at the forum and the visits to CTG subsidiary enterprises.
