The year 2022 witnessed the 20th National Congress of CPC, the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, and the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan of tourism industry for high-quality development. Bearing in mind President Xi’s instructions, we uphold "Integrity Operation and Premium Service" as our primary business philosophy, working hard to improve the quality of operation and service, and we stay profitable in the severe depression in the tourism industry caused by the pandemic. We utilized our advantages in the industry chain to provide "food, accommodation, travel and tourism" service for tens of thousands of people participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics, with the "bean buns" as a symbol of our services winning hearts and minds. We have effectively balanced the pandemic response and business operation, providing aids to vulnerable groups in multiple cities at home and abroad, and cut rents for nearly 1,000 property lessees, which highlighted our sense of responsibility at the critical moment. We vigorously promote reform and innovation to adapt to the market changes. Specifically, we accelerate the online/offline integration, strengthen internal coordination and external cooperation, and strive to build an ecosystem around the tourism industrial chain, supply chain and value chain. Keeping a foothold in Hong Kong, we accomplished the listing of CDFG H-share, which was the largest Hong Kong IPO of the year, and expanded property and security services to take part in the efforts to ensure Hong Kong's prosperity and stability. We have deeply intensified our footprint in Hainan. CDF Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex, the global largest single duty-free shop, opened in the fall to showcase our commitment to building a new Hainan international tourism and consumption center. In the meantime, we set up a new benchmark for cultural and tourism programs in developing mainland markets, fostering hot tourist spots like CTG Shapotou Tourist Resort Ningxia, Detian Transnational Waterfalls in Guangxi, and Dragon Lake Resort in Guangdong. In the preparation for a resurgence of outbound and inbound travel after the pandemic, we are establishing more overseas visa application centers, duty-free shops, hotels, and tourism destinations along the route of the "Belt and Road Initiative".
2023 will be the first year to fully implement the spirit of 20th National Congress of CPC, and also the year of centennial CTG. Along the centennial journey that broken through all hardships and dangers, our original aspiration of "serving the country and the public with tourism" stays strong from our start as a small travel agency on the Ningbo Road in Shanghai all along the way to a flagship of China's tourism industry headquartered at Connaught Road in Hong Kong. Crossing the centennial line, we are embracing a new journey for new achievements. Let's unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core and adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. We will stay practical, innovative, hard-work to present the centenary of CTG with new achievements and high-quality development, and make our contributions to building a socialist modernized country and promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in an all-round way!
