From February 16, Chairman Chen Yin paid two days visit to Hainan to study the operation of Hainan branches.
Chairman Chen Yin raised five requirements on major tasks of Hainan Regional Headquarter in making contribution at multiple levels to the efforts to develop Hainan Free Trade Port in 2022. First, the company should actively follow the national strategy to fulfill the functions as the representative office of the Group headquarters, integrating with the local economy to develop Hainan Free Trade Port. Under the guidance of the Group philosophy of "Based in Hong Kong; Cultivate in Hainan; Expand Markets Domestically; Achieve Excellence Overseas", Hainan Headquarter should implement the major policy of the Central Government to support the development of Hainan Free Trade Port, working for further achievements through the joint efforts of the Group as a central government-owned cooperation and local government in larger scope, wider fields and at deeper levels. Second, Hainan Headquarters should play a coordinated role for collaborative development among all business sectors of the Group, building up the core tourism elements of "food & beverage, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment" in the coordination of "local government, departments with developing resources and business divisions" according to the principles of "Coordination, Openness, and Pragmatism". Third, the Headquarters should improve the awareness on all fronts to continue to expand Group's business in Hainan, doing the right things following the tenet of "Making sure to contribute to the success, but not claiming credit". The Headquarters should analyze policies and make suggestions for various business divisions, helping them obtain more high-quality resources in Hainan to promote their investment and development. Fourth, the Headquarters should harmonize the relationship with the government and maintain good public relations, raising reasonable demands with the government to ensure the business development of the Group. The Headquarters should make good use of the abundant tourism resources according to the "14th Five-Year Plan", the national duty-free policy and Hainan's tourism industry planning, propelling a healthy and stable development of off-island duty-free business in Hainan. Finally, the Headquarters should stick to political guidance for preventing risks. The party building should be improved, and business cooperation and development should be promoted through exchanges and interactions between Headquarters and the local party committee, labor union and youth league committee. Party organizations at all levels must earnestly fulfill the responsibility for strict party self-discipline, strictly controlling the risks in various aspects such as operation management, safe production, and integrity to escort the high-quality development of the Group's business in Hainan.
