CTG and Jiangxi Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

Nanchang, March 23, 2024 – In a significant move to bolster regional tourism and economic growth, China Tourism Group (CTG) has formalized a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Jiangxi Province. The ceremony, held in Nanchang, was graced by CTG Chairman Chen Yin, Secretary Yin Hong of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, Governor Ye Jianchun, and other notable leaders. Vice Governor Chen Min and CTG General Manager Wang Haimin were the signatories of the groundbreaking agreement.

Under the new strategic partnership, both CTG and the Jiangxi Provincial Government commit to the principles of "complementary advantages, practical effectiveness, strategic win-win, and mutual development". The agreement aims to align Jiangxi’s unique cultural and tourism resources, geographical positioning, and policy environment with CTG's brand strength, distribution channels, talent, and technology, focusing on strategic research for tourism resource transformation, investment and operations of tourist sites, development of tourism products, marketing promotions, hotel management, and duty-free services. These efforts are expected to enhance CTG's ongoing expansion and strengthening in Jiangxi, thereby accelerating the province's development into a prime destination for red tourism, the most beautiful ecological tourism site, a center for experiencing Chinese traditional culture, a popular leisure and wellness resort area, and a globally recognized cultural tourism destination for ceramics.

Chairman Chen and General Manager Wang also visited tourism projects in Lushan and Jingdezhen. Their itinerary included an inspection of the Xiufeng Peak Chairlift and discussions on enhancing the tourism infrastructure in Lushan scenic area, engaging firsthand with the area's tourism infrastructure, and learning about its rich cultural history and natural beauty. Chairman Chen highlighted Lushan's profound cultural heritage and abundant tourism resources, emphasizing the unique advantages the region holds for developing cultural and tourism industries. He expressed a strong desire to enhance cooperation with Jiangxi Province to leverage the ongoing resurgence in domestic cultural and tourism sectors, aiming to develop high-quality projects that benefit both parties mutually.

On the site of the Xiufeng Peak Chairlift, Chairman Chen Yin emphasized continuous enhancement of service quality. He stressed the necessity of improving management and service standards to uphold the principles of "Integrity Operation and Quality Service", thereby achieving high-quality development.

In Jingdezhen, known for its world-renowned ceramics, the delegation explored the Taoxichuan Ceramic Culture Creative District, the official Jingdezhen Ceramic flagship store, the Taoyang Alley Historical and Cultural Tourist Area, and the Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute. Discussions with local leaders focused on accelerating Jingdezhen's development into a global ceramic culture tourism destination. The partnership aims to facilitate a balanced growth of the cultural and tourism industries through deep, all-encompassing cooperation in high-end tailor-made travel, study tours, inbound tourism, hospitality, and promoting Jingdezhen ceramics globally, as part of an overall effort to further establish Jingdezhen as a premier cultural tourism destination on the world stage.

Key participants in the discussions included Vice Governor Chen Min, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Provincial Government Yang Jun, Director or Jiangxi Cultural Tourism Department Mei Yi, and leaders from Jiujiang, Lushan, and Jingdezhen, along with CTG's Deputy General Manager Wu Qiang and representatives from CTG's Strategic Development Department and CTG INTERNATIONAL.
