CTG Leadership Meets with Chongqing's Top Officials and Attends Signing Ceremony with Chongqing Tourism Investment Group

In a significant move towards fostering tourism and economic development, Chairman Chen Yin and General Manager Wang Haimin of the China Tourism Group (CTG) met with Chongqing's top officials, including CPC Secretary Yuan Jiajun and Mayor Hu Henghua, and visited projects such as the Chongqing Amusement Park on January 10th. OIn the afternoon, a prestigious gathering witnessed the signing of an groundbreaking agreement between CTG INTERNATIONAL and the Chongqing Tourism Investment Group.



During the discussions, Secretary Yuan highlighted the rapid economic and social development of Chongqing, the push towards an enhanced Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the creation of new western land-sea channels, and the city's ambition to become a global consumption center. On behalf of Chongqing Municiple Government, he expressed gratitude for CTG's support in Chongqing's tourism development, urging for a swift realization of investment projects to elevate the strategic cooperation between both parties. Yuan also encouraged the group to embody the social responsibility of central enterprises and to forge a new cooperative model with Chongqing in the new era. Chairman Chen Yin outlined the CTG's industry layout, its business growth in Chongqing, and the ongoing strategic cooperation. He committed to aligning with national strategies and jointly advancing the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle with Chongqing. By integrating CTG's industrial advantages with Chongqing's resources, CTG aims to enhance business development in the city, supporting its aspirations to become an international consumption hub as part of the efforts of the modernization of Chongqing.




The agreement paves the way for the establishment of a joint venture between CTG INTERNATIONAL, Chongqing Tourism Investment Group, and other municipal state-owned enterprises. This partnership will initiate urban renewal projects and upgrades of the Chongqing Amusement Park and Tongjing Scenic Area, leveraging Chongqing's unique mountainous landscape, the majestic Three Gorges, and the Wuling charm. The collaboration aims to create three main brand product lines for the metropolitan area, the northeast, and the southeast of Chongqing, promoting the overall development of the city's tourism industry.

Prior to the agreement, CTG Southwest Regional Headquarters, in coordination with CTG INTERNATIONAL, undertook thorough research into the rich cultural and tourism resources of Chongqing. This initiative, backed by the support of CTG's Strategic Development Department and General Office, led to comprehensive engagements with government bodies of Chongqing including the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and the Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development. Additionally, collaboration extended to municipal state-owned enterprises such as the Yufu Group and Chongqing Tourism Investment Group. Through extensive discussions and negotiations, they successfully finalized the agreement and laid the groundwork for project cooperation.

The event was attended by key figures, including Chen Mingbo, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Committee and executive vice-mayor, Chen Xinwu, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Committee and Secretary General of the CPC Chongqing Committee, Dan Yanzheng, vice mayor of Chongqing, and Wu Qiang, CTG deputy general manager, showcasing the high level commitment for this strategic partnership.
