China Tourism Group and Palace Museum Deepen Cultural Ties in Landmark Meeting

Hong Kong, December 14 – In a significant step towards cultural collaboration, Chairman Chen Yin of China Tourism Group (CTG) met with Wang Xudong, a member of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's CPC Leadership Team and Director of the Palace Museum, at the CTG headquarters in Hong Kong. This meeting marked a pivotal moment for both sides in their pursuit of enhancing cultural and tourism cooperation. Prior to the meeting, Wang Xudong and his delegation toured CTG History and Culture Exhibition Hall, where they viewed a special exhibition video showcasing the historic journey of the Palace Museum's artifacts escorted by CTG during their relocation to the south.

In a gesture of goodwill, Director Wang presented CTG with a precious historical photograph documenting the southward relocation of the Palace Museum's artifacts. He reaffirmed the Palace Museum's commitment to supporting Hong Kong's youth in exploring China's historical landmarks and understanding traditional Chinese culture, thereby strengthening their cultural identity. Director Wang expressed readiness to leverage the strengths of both the Palace Museum and CTG to elevate their partnership to new heights.

The meeting was also attended by Louis Ng, Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, and representatives from the Palace Museum's Court History Department, the Office of International Exchange, and the Department of Paintings and Calligraphy; CTG's Deputy General Managers Shi Shanbo and Liu Kun; and officials from the CTG Strategic Development Department, CTG International, and Hong Kong China Travel Service.
