The fifth wave of COVID-19 is still raging in Hong Kong and the number of daily cases is still rising rapidly. It is more critical than ever to curb the spread of the epidemic and ensure public health and safety. To steadfastly implement President Xi Jinping's instructions on supporting Hong Kong's fight against the fifth wave, and fulfill the social responsibilities of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Hong Kong, the Group and its affiliates continue to carry out CTG Care to Community activities, assisting communities with supplies to help the response to COVID-19. On March 6, the Group donates materials worth over HK$ 6 million. Shi Shanbo, Deputy General Manager of the Group, visits Sheung Shun Community in Kwun Tong finding out the living conditions of Fu Pik-chun, an employee of the Group and also Kwun Tong District Councillor, and handing over face masks, Lianhua Qingwen capsules and rapid testing kits to the community.

After a thorough inquiry about the community layout, total number of residents and their age composition, community infections and follow-up support plan of Sheung Shun community, Mr. Shi said he understood the front-line employees of the Group serving in the community amid the epidemic face the challenges of heavy load, high pressure and high risk, and stressed the front-line employees should ensure their own health protection. He encouraged them to collect and give feedback on the urgent needs of the residents in the community on time, so that the Group can act on such needs to help out with the COVID response.

Upturning the epidemic spreading trend posthaste is the most important task in Hong Kong at present, so that the Group will try its best to jointly respond to the challenges from COVID-19 with all members of Hong Kong by taking all necessary measures.
