On October 8, Shi Dai, Chairman of China Tourism Group (CTG), and Fan Yunjun, General Manager of the Group, met in Haikou with Feng Fei, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Party Committee, and Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the Hainan Provincial People's Government, for a work discussion on further deepening cooperation.
Shi Dai expressed gratitude to the CPC Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the Hainan Provincial Government for their long-standing care and support for the Group, and briefed the officials on the Group's operations and development in Hainan. She said that the Group attaches great importance to its strategic cooperation with Hainan and will continue to step up investment and business presence in the province, expand cooperation in areas including offshore duty-free shopping, space tourism, cruise tourism and cultural performances, and drive the continuous upgrading of cooperation projects, so as to achieve mutually beneficial and win-win outcomes at a higher level and steadily support the development of the Hainan International Tourism and Consumption Center.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, Feng Fei thanked the Group for its long-standing, strong support for the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He noted that the Group has long been rooted in Hainan and has effectively advanced the development of the International Tourism and Consumption Center. Hainan stands ready to work in concert with the Group to upgrade the quality of offshore duty-free consumption, deepen supply-side reform in the cultural and tourism sectors, leverage distinctive local scenarios to build space tourism into a consumption highlight, and unlock new drivers for the integrated development of culture and tourism. The province will fully release policy dividends and smooth the chains connecting product supply with market demand generation. Hainan will proactively provide services and support, accelerate the implementation and delivery of cooperation projects, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Hainan's tourism industry.
The meeting was also attended by Xie Jing, Vice-Governor of the Hainan Provincial People's Government, Jian Yi and Hu Zhimin, Vice General Managers of the Group, and heads of relevant units from both sides.
