The National Energy Conservation Week 2022, from June 13th to 19th, is themed after the concept of "Low-carbon Comes behind Energy Conservation". On June 14, the Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Office of CTG issued a low-carbon initiative to staff on behalf of CTG.
The goals of "Peak carbon dioxide emissions" and "Carbon neutrality" are strategic decisions made by the CPC Central Committee and a solemn commitment to the world, underlining an inherent requirement for promoting high-quality development. CTG fulfills China's carbon strategies and establishes the green development idea implementing President Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization. Specifically, it advocates a civilized and healthy working & living style featuring awareness of saving and low carbon development, creating a positive social atmosphere of "Low-carbon goes first". The initiative urges the staff to carry traditional virtues and establish a frugality sense. In addition to practicing the low-carbon footprint and advocating a green lifestyle, the initiative also suggests the staff participate in green programs and help with energy conservation & carbon reduction, improving popularity of energy conservation knowledge to create a positive social atmosphere. The initiative also calls on staff to co-build a green development model and a low-carbon company to practice green development and frugal habits while prohibiting energy and resources waste with their wisdom, perseverance, enthusiasm, and courage.
